There is a rapture on the lonely shore;
There is society, where none intrudes.
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more...

back to Brighton

The words kept ringing in my head...

powder...shred...mountains....speed...

It was long past the time for me to get back onto the mountain, strap on my ski's, and rip down a trail in the greatest snow on earth.
This year brings me back to a favorite resort of mine, yet one I haven't been to in years, Brighton. Sometimes though it is good to be away for awhile, you have a greater appreciation once you return.
Let it be had that on a perfect day on the first of February, I ride new lifts as snow swirls from highest of Utah's majestic peaks, and race down the mountainside with the wind racing around my frame.

Snow freezes to my red cheeks, muscles in my legs twitch and cry in pain, my lungs gasp for breath.

I ski until my body can't move, and relish every second of it.
